An Automotive General Manager ensures the profitability of a dealership or other automotive service provider by overseeing various departments, possibly including variable operations (sales and financing), fixed operations (service and parts), and the business office (accounting and administration). Duties of the general manager include, but certainly not limited to, planning, motivating and coordinating the dealership's management through leadership and solid business practices.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales and service to achieve dealership goals and uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service.
Sales & Financial Performance:
Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales of new and pre-owned vehicles. Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
Customer Experience:
Ensure a customer-centric environment that aligns with our motto, "It's Time to Love What You Drive," by fostering a culture of professionalism and care.
Inventory Management:
Manage vehicle inventory, including ordering, pricing, and trade-in evaluations, utilizing tools like vAuto Finance & Insurance (F&I): Collaborate with finance team to secure competitive financing options, ensuring accessibility for customers with varied credit backgrounds.
Service Department Oversight:
Oversee the service center, ensuring high-quality repairs, timely service, and customer satisfaction. Maintain relationships with certified technicians and parts department.
Compliance & Operations:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Nissan USA standards. Streamline dealership operations for efficiency and profitability.
Community Engagement:
Represent Jack Ingram Nissan in the Montgomery community, participating in local events and fostering partnerships to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of automotive dealership management experience, with at least 5 years in a General Manager or similar leadership role.
Leadership Skills:
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with a focus on employee retention and satisfaction.
Financial Acumen:
Strong understanding of dealership financials, including P&L statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
Customer Focus:
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Industry Knowledge:
Deep knowledge of automotive sales, service, and financing processes. Familiarity with Nissan vehicles and brand standards is a plus.
Licenses:
Valid U.S. driver's license required.
Technology Skills:
