Job Description

Community Action Human Resources Agency (CAHRA) is seeking a collaborative, mission-driven, and experienced Executive Director to lead agency operations and advance programs that improve the quality of life for individuals and families across the communities we serve. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors , the Executive Director will provide strategic leadership, oversee daily operations, ensure effective program delivery, and strengthen partnerships and resources to meet client and community needs. This role requires strong leadership, fiscal oversight, program management, grant development, and the ability to work closely with staff, board members, community partners, and local, state, and federal agencies. The Executive Director will be responsible for: Developing, implementing, and evaluating agency programs and services. Hiring, training, supervising, and supporting the professional development of staff. Ensuring efficient agency operations in alignment with Board-approved policies, procedures, and budget guidelines. Leading grant strategy, fundraising efforts, and resource development. Serving as a liaison between the Board of Directors, community agencies, local officials, state and federal partners, and funding entities. Directing financial and budget activities, including fiscal oversight and compliance. Preparing, reviewing, and presenting reports to the Board, funding agencies, and other stakeholders. Establishing departmental responsibilities and ensuring accountability across programs. Negotiating and approving contracts, agreements, and partnerships with funding sources and community organizations. Representing CAHRA at official functions, public meetings, and community events. Supporting the agency's mission by building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to better serve the community.
