Job Description

About the job The Manager, Commodity Sales drives sales growth, manages key accounts, and oversees market strategy within the produce industry. We're looking for someone who
  • Has 8-10 years of sales experience or 6+ years at a Director of Sales level
  • Has proven transactional sales experience within the produce or related industry (required)
  • Is an aggressive closer with a strong track record of hitting KPIs and driving revenue growth
  • Demonstrates strong job tenure with consistent performance success
  • Can develop new business while effectively managing multiple existing accounts (4+ accounts typical)
  • Has experience with PACA rules and understands how to manage business accordingly
  • Is proficient with order system software (in-house and online)
  • Understands company sales priorities and works collaboratively to drive profitability
  • Is skilled in sales techniques across phone, in-person, and negotiations
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Is a self-starter who is reliable, accountable, and results-driven
  • Can think quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels
  • Can analyze consumer and market data to optimize sales strategies
  • Has knowledge of industry trends and regulatory requirements What you'll do
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of customer accounts while developing new business opportunities
  • Coordinate daily with sales, production, and supply teams to align on inventory, pricing, and market conditions
  • Monitor commodity markets, pricing, and availability to maximize profitability
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, growers, and supply chain partners
  • Evaluate production reports and manage inventory levels while minimizing aging product
  • Resolve customer issues, claims, and deductions in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate customer data within CRM systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support marketing strategies and sales initiatives
  • Stay aligned with company goals, product offerings, and long-term growth strategy
  • Support cross-functional needs and step in where needed
Pay:
$120,000.00
