POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Services Manager is responsible for coordinating the workflow in the Business Office. This position coordinates or performs bookkeeping duties essential to the operation of the community, (ILU, ALU, MC) and supports the Executive Director in analysis of related operating issues. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals. The Business Services Manager reports direct to the
CEO. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Maintains the computerized record keeping systems to prepare the monthly billing for all resident related services and supplies in ILU. ALU, and MC. 2. Prepares computer generated resident statements and distributes them. 3. Responsible for assisting residents with their accounts and answering questions regarding the resident billings. 4. Reconciles resident revenue and cash receipts journal. 5. Posts all activity of cash receipts and resident charges and deposits checks as needed. 6. Communicates status of any pertinent information regarding delinquent accounts. 7. Compiles month-end reports for corporate accounting. 8. Maintains resident list (State log) on a monthly basis. 9. Codes invoices as needed and processes through AP 10. Participates in AR reviews 11. Maintains Entrance Fee contract information and updates Entrance Fee schedule 12. Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times. 13. The ability to maintain business/professional boundaries with all staff, management and outside vendors. 14. Maintains compliance with company policy. 15. Responds to all verbal and written communication within 24 hours of receipt. 16. Attends and participates in Department meetings. 17. Assists with special projects as needed. 18. Ensures the safety, health and welfare of staff and residents at all times. 19. Provides encouragement, guidance and resources to staff and residents when needed. 20. Acts as a positive role model and mentor for staff. 21. Adheres to company policies and Corporate Compliance and Ethics Program Code of Conduct. 22. Other duties as assigned from direct supervisor and/or department Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years old or older. 2. Graduation from High School or equivalent G.E.D. College level courses in bookkeeping and accounting. 3. Experience in accounts receivable and billing. 4. Demonstrates knowledge of general office practices and procedures with an understanding of general bookkeeping procedures and have the ability to use office equipment and operate PC with knowledge of related software. 1. Thorough documentation skills including grammatical, spelling and organization. 2. If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible driver. Must possess a current State Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years. 3. The ability to read, write and communicate to residents, staff, families, vendors, and all business relationships in English language. 4. Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test. 5. Able to work in excess of 40 hours per week (upon Dept. Director approval) with the possibility of a varied schedule. 6. Must have excellent organization and time management skills. 7. Must be able to communicate with all levels of staff in an effective, neutral and professional manner. 8. Ability to function as a member of the team in a multi-task environment. 9. Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and changing business conditions. 10. Proficient in the use of computers and associated software.
