Job Overview The Assistant Spa Manager is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting daily spa operations, team performance, client experience, and revenue growth. This position has primary responsibility for front desk leadership, training and coaching, inventory management, sales performance, marketing execution, and maintaining consistent operational standards. Duties Oversee daily front desk operations, including opening and closing procedures, scheduling, client flow, membership transactions, and overall front desk organization. Lead, train, coach, and develop Front Desk/Spa Associates to ensure strong performance, professionalism, and consistent execution of spa standards. Monitor membership conversion, rebooking, gift card, retail, enhancement, and other sales KPIs while coaching the team toward established goals. Assist with front desk scheduling and ensure appropriate coverage during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and peak periods. Manage inventory and supply levels, including routine counts, ordering, receiving, organization, and maintaining appropriate par levels. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new Front Desk/Spa Associates. Handle escalated client concerns, membership questions, and service recovery while maintaining a high standard of client experience. Participate in meetings with advertising and marketing agency partners and assist with executing local marketing initiatives. Develop and recommend promotions, events, partnerships, and other creative initiatives designed to attract new clients, increase memberships, and drive revenue. Ensure marketing campaigns and promotions are properly communicated and executed by the front desk team. Identify operational, staffing, facility, or client experience concerns and proactively work with leadership to resolve them. Serve as Manager on Duty as needed and provide dependable leadership and operational support when the Spa Manager or Owner is not on-site. Qualifications Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience in spa/wellness, hospitality, retail, fitness, sales, or another client-facing environment preferred. Demonstrated ability to coach employees, drive performance, and achieve sales or revenue goals. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working with KPIs, inventory, scheduling, POS/booking systems, and basic business reporting. Marketing, promotions, events, or local business development experience is a plus. Availability to work approximately 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends based on business needs.
