Our Client, Longview Mountain Services , is excited to announce we are looking to fill a full time General Manager position with a qualified and experienced industry professional. Longview Mountain Services serves Eagle, CO and the surrounding area. We provide wildfire mitigation, home hardening, drainage and erosion control, and snow and winter access management solutions. GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The General Manager will have responsibility for all day to day operations of the business and will direct and oversee service projects from launch to completion. Incumbent is also responsible for various project management and equipment operational activities including but not limited to performing all of the duties of assigned crew members. Responsible for the management of assigned staff, including oversight for the effective completion of assigned tasks, and execution of performance management in accordance with company policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for conducting site visits, scoping and pricing projects. Responsible for the day-to-day scheduling and dispatch across snow removal, tree, excavation, and landscape crews. Management and execution of subcontractor coordination, particularly excavation equipment operators and other service delivery partners. Primary liaison for customers performing tasks including customer communication, job estimates, complaint resolution, and quality from first touch until completion of services and invoicing. Management and oversight of tools and equipment ensuring safety and functionality through implementation of predictive and preventative maintenance programs. Responsible for project sourcing to include scheduling and management against established budget. Perform regular job costing and budget / financial analysis to ensure the profitability of every project and taking action to mitigate and remediate issues and risks that will impact the revenue negatively. Responsible for safety and quality in operations and service delivery to protect the workforce and comply with all regulations. Responsible for the development, implementation, training, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all business operations in collaboration with the owner. Perform personnel functions such as talent acquisition, training, evaluation, goal setting, performance management, corrective action, coaching and mentoring. Timely review and approval of all employee timesheets, time off requests, and absences.ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Develop and implement quality assurance and control programs. Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clients. Carries out duties in compliance with all federal and state regulations and guidelines. Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements. Complies with all company and site policies and procedures. Remains current in profession and industry trends. Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by: making suggestions for improvement and learning new skills, procedures and processes. Is available for other duties as required. Is available for overtime as needed.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct supervision of assigned and identified human resources.QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED. Five (5) years of residential and light commercial general manager experience. Three (3) years of residential and commercial excavation or construction project management experience. Three (3) years of industry experience operating and maintaining light industrial equipment including but not limited to mini excavators and skid steers. Three (3) years of experience performing sewer repairs, septic installations, drywells, drainage, and retaining walls. Three (3) years of direct experience supervision excavation, construction, or similarly skilled trade work crews. Two (2) years of direct experience leading or performing snow removal operations. Must haveOSHA 10 & 30
hour certification or obtain certification within three (3) months of hire.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and standard operating procedure manuals.OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES OR QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining predictive and preventative equipment maintenance programs. Demonstrate experience providing crew members safety training. Familiar with lasers, trench safety, compaction, and grading. Familiar with reading and evaluating blueprints, site plans, and architectural diagrams. Familiar with job costing and management of a project budget. Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining speed of work and attention to detail without loss to production. Ability to work with others in a team environment.Computer skills:
Work and be proficient with Google Workspace including but not limited to Gmail, Drive, Meet, Calendar, Chat, Docs and Sheets.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds or more with assistance or using lift tools and equipment provides to perform the task safely.
