Little Man Ice Cream Assistant General Managers ensures the daily and long-term success of the business by working closely with the General Manager in day-to-day operations at its retail location(s). This job contributes to the success of Little Man Ice Cream Co by creating and maintaining an exemplary experience for customers, team members, and partners. The Assistant General Manager is required to assist in managing the overall operation of the store and involves a large proportion of shifts worked in the retail location. The Assistant General Manager also plays a significant key role in the coaching and development of the team. Specifically, these duties include, but are not limited to the key responsibilities listed below.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership Work with a professional demeanor that represents the company Execute strategic operational plans and goals In charge of responding to all events of the business
- including those in crises Approaches management with integrity and honesty that correlate and promote the culture, values, and mission of Little Man Ice Cream Company Constantly display and perform proper procedures and protocols at all times (lead by example!) Constantly uphold the 6 Senses of the Churn
- Inventory Management Execute daily, weekly, and monthly inventory Place product orders Analyze inventory trends Analyze product pricing trends Uphold high quality product standards Coach and develop a culture around sustainability (reducing waste, reusable goods, equipment) Maintain equipment including cleaning, training on proper use, and preventative maintenance
- Financial Management Responsible for day-to-day purchasing Responsible for store cash flow Manage staffing levels Responsible for labor control Responsible for store's overall financial performance Oversee and execute daily bookkeeping via accounting system Follows annual budget plan set forth by upper management
- Sanitation Management Uphold high cleanliness and sanitation practices Ensure practices are in line with local Health Code standards Display exemplary cleaning behaviors daily Ensure full team is accountable to all sanitization standards
- Staff Management Motivate, coach, and develop employees in alignment with company values Use delegation as a tool to achieve group success and for individual development Work 3-5 scooping shifts in the shop each week Conduct employee performance reviews Manage employee relations (i.
e. schedules, rapport building, administrative duty, conflict resolution) Create positive and enriching organizational culture Conduct ongoing training through workshops, company meetings, and orientations
- Discipline employees in accordance with company policy Maintain a consistent presence on administrative days Participate in the hiring and training of staff in accordance with company policy Work hand-in-hand with all departments in the Churn to ensure systems are upheld in place
- On-site Event Coordination Execute on-site events Manage relationship between production team, assembly line, shop, and event performers
- Be knowledgeable of all on-site event procedures Manage staffing before and during events
- Marketing and Sales Work with General Manager to execute marketing and sales goals Implement procedures for promotions and initiatives Ensure staff is educated in all products Communicate to and educate staff on all upcoming events and promotions
- Maintain open lines of communication with Basha & Harry re: events and promotions with the opportunity to be the face of the brand
Experience Requirements:
Retail management experience
