This role partners closely with the Pricing & Inventory Data Science team to ensure analytical insights align with business objectives, operational priorities, and market conditions. Working across Operations, Data Science, and field leadership, the VP, Pricing & Inventory is responsible for driving adoption, performance, and continuous improvement of pricing and inventory initiatives across the dealership network. This role bridges strategy and execution to optimize inventory effectiveness, support profitable growth, and deliver measurable business outcomes. Job Responsibilities Lead enterprise pricing and inventory initiatives, driving operational execution, performance, and business outcomes across AutoNation's dealership network. Provide strategic oversight of pricing and inventory model outputs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, market conditions, and operational priorities. Partner closely with Operational Measurement resources to assess model effectiveness, outcomes, and performance trends. Serve as the primary business leader connecting field operations, market leadership, and the Pricing & Inventory Data Science team. Translate business insights and operational feedback into actionable recommendations that drive model enhancements, adoption, and continuous improvement. Monitor business outcomes and identify opportunities to improve pricing effectiveness, inventory turn, inventory and profitability. Partner with the Pricing & Inventory Data Science leader to validate assumptions, evaluate opportunities, and optimize enterprise performance. Develop and oversee reporting, performance metrics, and governance processes to measure adoption, effectiveness, and business impact. Drive alignment between enterprise strategy, analytical recommendations, and field execution to support consistent performance across markets. Support communication, organizational readiness, and adoption efforts associated with pricing and inventory initiatives. Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities Strong understanding of pricing strategy, inventory management, retail operations, and business performance drivers. Ability to interpret complex analytical insights and translate them into practical business strategies and operational actions. Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and problem-solving capabilities. Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and build alignment across a highly matrixed organization. Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels. Ability to effectively partner with technical and non-technical teams to drive business outcomes. Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Analytics, Economics, or a related field required. An MBA or advanced degree in quantitative discipline is highly preferred. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, pricing, inventory management, analytics, business performance, or related disciplines. Demonstrated success leading large-scale operational or business performance initiatives and delivering measurable results. Experience working with data-driven decision-making tools, reporting, performance metrics, and analytical models. Proven ability to influence strategy and drive alignment across multiple functions and organizational levels. Experience partnering with senior business leaders to solve complex operational and performance challenges. Retail, automotive, inventory management, pricing optimization, or operational performance experience strongly preferred. Must meet the company's requirements for employment
