Account Manager Trainee

Vantage Logistics is seeking an enthusiastic leader for a full-time position as a Logistics Supervisor in Fort Myers, FL. Vantage Logistics, established in 2014, is headquartered in Sunbury, Ohio, with a satellite office in Orrville, Ohio. In 2024, we expanded by building a new office in Fort Myers, Florida. This location is currently staffed with a small but dynamic team, poised for significant growth into 2025. About the Program As an Account Manager Trainee, you'll begin as a Logistics Coordinator, learning the ins and outs of our operations while developing key skills needed to thrive in an Account Management role. During your 6-month training, you'll master essential logistics functions while also receiving targeted coaching to prepare you for managing customer relationships and handling sales as an Account Manager. Responsibilities:

Manage carrier relationships, identify market trends, and coordinate shipments. Master the internal Transportation Management System (McLeod) to navigate and update load information. Communicate with carriers, customers, and internal teams via phone, email, and internal systems. Support Account Managers by proactively addressing and reporting issues, providing recommendations for solutions. Gather and input key data for billing, images, receipts, BOLs, and PODs. Handle inbound and outbound calls and vet carrier details. Maintain the accuracy of information on loads, rate confirmations, and timing. Build and strengthen relationships with carriers, creating a preferred carrier network. Schedule and reschedule appointments while ensuring timely tracking and communication. Prepare for transition to Account Manager by learning best practices in sales and customer relationship management.
