Job Description

Assistant General Manager, Boutique Fitness Studio (Pre-Opening) RockBox Fitness, Lakewood Ranch, FL Starting at $25.00 per hour plus monthly performance bonus Part time to start, with a defined path to a full time General Manager role RockBox Fitness is opening in Lakewood Ranch this fall, and we're hiring the Assistant General Manager who will help open it. This is a pre-opening role and a growth role. You'll start part time during presale, working directly with ownership to build the membership base before the doors open. As the studio ramps, this position is designed to grow into the full time General Manager seat. We would rather promote the person who helped open the studio than hire a stranger to run it later. We combine boxing and kickboxing on the bag with functional strength training in a 50-minute class. No experience required for our members, and no boxing background required for you. What you'll own Sales and membership growth. This is the core of the job. You'll work the presale, follow up with every inquiry, and grow membership through upgrades, referrals, and paid-in-full options. You'll own your booking and conversion numbers and report them weekly. Team support. Help interview, onboard, and train front desk and coaching staff alongside ownership. Build the schedule. Run role-play sessions and hold the floor to a standard when you're the one on it. Member experience. Every guest gets welcomed and challenged. You'll handle member questions, cancellations, and studio events, and you'll know members by name. Operations. CRM hygiene, studio phone and email, inventory, cleanliness, class check-ins, and timeclock and billing support. Work with coaches to optimize class utilization. Local marketing. Generate leads through community events, local business partnerships, and outreach. Manage the studio's Instagram and Facebook presence and respond to inquiries. Own review responses on Google and Facebook. What we're looking for One or more years leading or supervising a team in fitness, retail, hospitality, or sales A sales record you can speak to specifically, with numbers Comfortable closing in person, on the phone, and over text Organized enough to run the back end without being reminded Comfortable on camera for live videos and reels for social media Genuine interest in running your own studio, because that's where this goes Nice to have Grand opening or presale experience CRM experience Current CPR/AED certification Schedule Roughly 25 to 30 hours per week to start, increasing through opening month and beyond. Studio hours run early morning through evening, plus Saturday and Sunday mornings. This role works a mix of weekday and weekend shifts, so availability on both is required. Compensation and growth Starting at $25.00 per hour, plus a monthly bonus tied to net member growth and revenue. The bonus is structured so a strong performer earns well above base, and we'll walk you through the full numbers in the interview. Free studio membership and paid training. The path to General Manager is tied to studio performance and your own results, not a calendar. We'll define the milestones with you in your first thirty days so you know exactly what the promotion requires.
