Location St Petersburg-Main Geographic Location US-FL-St Petersburg Overview Provides strategic direction, planning, and requirements to execute the design, implementation, communication, and administration of the company's compensation, benefits and safety programs including base pay, incentive pay; health, welfare and retirement benefits team member safety and workers compensation, in support of the organization's objectives and competitive position in the marketplace. Responsibilities The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the duties and responsibilities performed within this classification. Develops and leads the Company's comprehensive strategy for Total Rewards using compelling and equitable compensation and benefits programs aimed at attracting and retaining talent across multi-disciplines Provides strategic leadership to execute the design, implementation, communication, and administration of the company's compensation programs; including base pay, incentive programs and executive compensation Provides strategic leadership to ensure that our benefits strategy aligns with company vision and will attract, engage and retain top talent for the organization, including evaluation, design, implementation, communication, and compliance for health & welfare, retirement, paid time-off, and disability plans Oversees the effective communication of compensation, benefits, wellness, workers compensation and employee safety programs to achieve employee awareness, understanding and appreciation of the programs offered Leads HR Data and Reporting strategy. Oversees EEO planning, compliance, and other government reporting to include OSHA and DOT compliance Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of rewards programs to ensure they are aligned with our business and talent strategies and monitor market trends to make recommendations for changes, as appropriate Ensures all programs are administered in compliance with regulations, including management of all compliance filings, reports, and audits related to the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs either directly or through vendor/partners Develops metrics to support the effectiveness and utilization of compensation and benefits programs Facilitates strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, external consultants, vendors, and other benefit/compensation service providers Builds a high-performing and cohesive team of internal experts that utilize a consultative model Prepares materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, management, human resources or related field. Master's degree preferred. Twelve (12) or more years' progressively responsible experience in employee benefits and compensation including ten (10) or more years' management experience or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Knowledge and experience in HRIS a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND DESIGNATIONS
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and/or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate the details of benefit and compensation programs to varying levels of employees and management Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from varying levels of employees and management Must possess strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems Extensive knowledge of Human Resources practices, functions, approaches, and applicable employment law and regulations Ability to organize work for timely completion Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions Ability to delegate, manage and supervise effectively Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to travel 30% of the time
