Company Summary Operating within a $15B+ Florida landscaping market characterized by regional fragmentation and recurring revenue models, Sunline Group (the "Company") is a rapidly expanding, private equity-backed landscaping and outdoor services platform across Florida. Headquartered in Fort Myers, Florida, the Company serves commercial, HOA and high-end residential customers through recurring maintenance contracts and complementary specialty services, including irrigation, tree, fertilizer & pest control and enhancement work. While branding remains at the local operating company level, Sunline operates as a unified enterprise through centralized systems, performance management and shared services. Backed by First Harbor Capital Management, Sunline Group is executing a disciplined buy-and-build strategy in one of Florida's most fragmented service markets. The platform is scaling through both organic growth and the acquisition and integration of strong regional operators. The Company operates as a holding company with multiple regional brands serving customers locally while centralizing systems, data and shared services to drive operating efficiency, margin expansion and scalability. Position Summary The General Manager leads the All Florida Tree operation in the West Palm Beach area for Sunline Group, a rapidly expanding, private equity-backed landscaping and outdoor services platform serving customers across Florida. Sunline Group (the "Company"). serves commercial, HOA, and high-end residential customers through recurring maintenance contracts and specialty services, including irrigation, tree, fertilizer and pest control, and enhancement work. The customer base includes homeowners, homeowner associations, property management companies, municipalities, counties, and state agencies. This role is accountable for daily operations, service delivery, safety, compliance, customer relationships, team performance, revenue growth, and profitability. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, field-oriented leader with deep tree care experience and a proven ability to manage complex public-sector, municipal, county, or state work. Key ResponsibilitiesOperational and Technical Leadership Oversee service execution, scheduling, staffing, equipment utilization, fleet readiness, productivity, and job completion across residential, commercial, municipal, county, and state work. Ensure crews are properly staffed, trained, equipped, and prepared to perform safe, efficient, high-quality tree care services. Provide technical oversight for specialized services including tree trimming, removals, vegetation management, right-of-way work, and related services. Monitor job performance, service quality, and completion timelines; resolve operational issues quickly to minimize customer disruption, safety risk, and financial impact. Prepare the business for seasonal demand, weather-related needs, emergency response, and customer-driven priorities. Municipal, County, State, and Customer Relationships Lead and support work involving municipalities, county entities, state agencies, homeowners, HOAs, property management companies, and commercial customers. Ensure contract requirements, service specifications, documentation expectations, communication processes, and customer commitments are clearly understood and operationally supported. Build and maintain strong relationships with public-sector contacts, decision-makers, and key accounts; serve as a senior escalation point for complex service or contract issues. Support bids, renewals, and service expansion opportunities by providing operational insight, service expertise, and customer relationship support. Represent the company professionally in the market and help strengthen the All Florida Tree brand reputation across South Florida. Safety, Compliance, and Traffic Control Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, company, and customer-specific requirements. Maintain and apply MOT/TTC Certification
  • Maintenance of Traffic / Temporary Traffic Control
  • for work performed near roads, public rights-of-way, municipalities, counties, and state projects.
Ensure proper planning and execution of traffic control, PPE use, work zone safety, vehicle safety, equipment safety, and incident reporting procedures. Oversee required documentation, training, inspections, corrective actions, and safe work practices for crews, vehicles, tools, and equipment. Team Leadership and Workforce Planning Lead, coach, and develop approximately 50-55 employees, including field leaders, crews, support employees, and operational team members. Build a culture of accountability, safety, respect, customer service, and performance; set clear expectations for productivity, professionalism, quality, and communication. Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain strong talent; identify high-potential employees and support their growth into supervisory or leadership roles. Align staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation to current workload, seasonal demand, customer expectations, and growth plans. Promote effective communication among office, sales, operations, field leaders, and crews. Financial Performance and Growth Own market-level performance for a business generating approximately $5
  • 10 million in annual revenue.
Manage revenue, labor, productivity, materials, equipment, fleet, expenses, margin, and profitability. Review financial and operational metrics regularly; take action to improve job profitability, crew productivity, service quality, customer retention, and business results. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, staffing plans, and operating plans. Required Qualifications Proven experience as a General Manager, Branch Manager, Operations Manager, or senior field operations leader in tree care, vegetation management, landscaping, utilities, public works, or a closely related field. Tree care experience is required. Experience working with or supporting municipal, county, and/or state customers is required. Experience leading field-based teams, ideally teams of 50+ employees. Strong understanding of field operations, crew productivity, job costing, scheduling, safety, compliance, service quality, and specialized tree care work. Ability to read and understand contracts, scopes of work, job specifications, and customer service expectations. Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, revenue, labor, expenses, and profitability. Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned service area. Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading public-sector tree care, vegetation management, right-of-way, roadway-adjacent work, emergency response, storm response, or public works service needs. Arborist certification or related industry credentials. Experience supporting bids, contract renewals, and public-sector customer growth. Strong knowledge of Florida tree care, landscape, environmental, safety, and traffic control requirements. Experience with fleet, heavy equipment, and specialized tree care equipment management. Familiarity with customers in the West Palm Beach or broader South Florida market. Physical and Work Requirements Ability to work in both office and field environments and travel regularly throughout the service territory. Ability to spend time outdoors in Florida weather conditions and visit job sites to inspect work, meet with customers, and support field teams. Ability to respond to urgent operational, customer, safety, or weather-related business needs, including work outside standard business hours when needed. Partner with sales and leadership teams to support revenue growth, renewals, bids, proposals, service expansions, and customer retention.
