We operate two connected businesses:


Beach portrait sessions and resort partnershipsLuau photography operations.



This is not a desk job.

It is approximately:

50% business operations and team leadership30% resort partnerships and revenue growth20% photography, guest experience, and coverageIf you only want to manage, this is not the role. If you only want to photograph, this is not the role.



What you will own:


Grow resort partnershipsBuild relationships with resort leadership, concierge teams, activity desks, and frontline staff.



Increase bookings, referrals, visibility, and revenue from existing resort partners.



Help launch and grow new resort partnerships.



Track resort-sourced bookings and identify where revenue is being lost.



Run the operationOwn the schedule across beach sessions, resort coverage, and luau photography.



Maintain service quality during peak season and improve systems during shoulder season.



Solve staffing, coverage, equipment, weather, and guest-experience issues quickly.



Build checklists, workflows, and standards that allow the team to perform without constant supervision.



Lead the teamHire, train, schedule, coach, and retain a team of approximately 10.Set clear expectations for photographers, sales associates, editors, and luau staff.



Give direct feedback and address weak performance quickly.



Create a culture of professionalism, urgency, hospitality, and accountability.

The luau operation is part of your leadership responsibility, but your major upside comes from expanding the portrait business.

Required qualifications5+ years leading a team in hospitality, tourism, retail, photography, events, or another seasonal service business.



Experience owning measurable revenue or operating targets.



Strong portrait portfolio, especially families, couples, children, beach, or natural-light photography.



Fast, confident Lightroom workflow.



Comfortable reading a P&L and diagnosing missed targets.



Strong scheduling, communication, and organizational skills.



Reliable transportation and ability to work across the Kohala Coast and Kona.



Availability for weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings.



Nice to haveExisting Big Island resort, hotel, luau, or tourism relationships.



GoHighLevel or comparable CRM experience.



Consultative sales experience.



Experience with AI culling or editing tools.



Experience managing a multi-unit photography, wedding/event, tour, or hospitality operation.



What to expectOur seasonality is real. July can run roughly three times the volume of February. Summer is intense. Shoulder season is when we repair systems, train the team, improve partnerships, and prepare for the next surge.
