V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a General Manager for our premier client in Libertyville, Illinois.
Education and Experience
A BS in engineering, operations, supply chain management, or business is desired. A technical background in engineering would be helpful and an MBA a plus. Additional credentials, such as Lean, Six Sigma, APICS, CQE, or CI would be an added plus.
10+ years of experience in a operations leadership position, preferably currently having the same role in a company involving tooling and injection molding.
Knowledge and Skills:
Assist in the execution of operational initiatives such as lean production processes, production cost reduction, supply chain, procurement, capacity optimization/expansion, and acquisition synergy/integration.
Provide information to various corporate personnel on time, including daily/weekly/monthly reporting requirements and other ad hoc information requests.
Drives standardization practices throughout the organization that align with other branches.
Implement an ERP system in conjunction with other divisions.
Prepare an annual plan and policy guidelines to drive the performance of key results on production activities and continuous implementation monitoring.
Identify and act on continuous improvement opportunities - lead and monitor all progress in capturing opportunities in quality, productivity, and operating expenses.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure all company policies, including safety, production, quality, human resources, customer service, and
accounting policies are adopted across the operation.
Ensure that quality standards are understood and meet acceptable limits in the and distribution process. Assures that policies and documentation are current, and facility is compliant with customer audit requirements.
