Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our dynamic retail team. In this pivotal role, you will lead daily store operations, motivate and develop staff, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. Your proactive management skills and passion for retail will drive sales growth, optimize inventory control, and foster a positive shopping environment. Duties Assist in managing store operations, including sales, inventory, and staff scheduling to meet business goals Supervise and support team members through onboarding, training, and ongoing development initiatives Lead customer service efforts by ensuring excellent communication, phone etiquette, and problem resolution Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize sales potential Handle payroll processing, cash handling, cashiering duties, and maintain accurate bookkeeping records Conduct employee interviews, participate in recruiting efforts, and support employee orientation programs Manage inventory control procedures, including stock ordering, purchasing, and shrink reduction efforts Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions and sales management while ensuring retail math accuracy Implement marketing initiatives to promote store products and enhance customer engagement Support shift management by coordinating team schedules and ensuring smooth daily operations Qualifications Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a supervisory role within retail or grocery stores Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative environment Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, customer service, and conflict resolution Proficiency in retail math, budgeting, merchandising, and inventory management systems Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS systems Skilled in training & development techniques with a focus on employee orientation and team management Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting Knowledge of retail sales strategies including marketing, pricing, stock control, and promotional activities Ability to manage time efficiently while overseeing multiple responsibilities simultaneously Join us as an Assistant Manager where your leadership will inspire teams to deliver outstanding service while driving store success.
