1 At First Mid, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of discretionary short-term incentives (i.e. bonus, incentives, and/or commission). Responsible for processing transactions and utilizing the Business Manager software. Responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a high level of accuracy, and observing daily transactions for unusual activity with customer relationships. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Promptly reviews invoices and payments for daily processing of transactions. Inputs necessary information in software to maintain effective records for the customer and the bank. Completes transactions using the Business Manager software, banking software, and tickets. Provides ongoing feedback, updates, and other helpful information to the Assistant Manager and Program Director as transactions occur. Communicates regularly with customers to answer questions, resolve transactions, etc. Prepares various reports for customers and the Program Director on a regular basis. Generates, mails, and tracks audit letters regarding account activity. Communicates with customers and assists the branches with issues related to overdraft and NSF activity. Performs daily balancing as well as maintains customer files and other information in an accurate manner. Assists with opening and closing accounts, conducting research and other duties as assigned. Performs other job duties that may be required.
Education/Experience:
Training normally acquired through high school education or equivalent. 2-3 years education/training/experience in banking, operations, or record keeping preferred. Training on Business Manager specialized software upon successful employment.
Skills:
Ability to learn and utilize specialized software for Business Manager transactions. Thorough knowledge of bank operations and general ledger system. Must be able to work with a significant amount of detailed information in an accurate, timely and confidential manner. Strong computer skills, including use of excel, word, etc. High level of interpersonal skills to interact with customers and other bank personnel in a professional manner. Adequate knowledge of internal policies and procedures Able to maintain work flow in spite of interruptions or delays in receiving information Strong Communications skills for verbal and written requirements
