ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a ground-floor opportunity to join a newly acquired franchise of a nationally recognized leader in tile, grout, and hard surface restoration. Under energetic new ownership, we are investing aggressively in people, territory, equipment, and marketing to become the leading tile and grout restoration provider in our market. We are looking for an entrepreneurially minded General Manager who is ready to roll up their sleeves, work alongside the crew, and grow into the primary operational leader of the business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small-business environment, takes pride in quality work, and wants their career trajectory tied directly to the growth of something they help build.THE ROLE
In the near term, you will be a hands-on contributor — riding along on jobs, learning the franchise system from the ground up, and building relationships with technicians and customers alike. Over time, as the business scales, you will transition fully into a management role overseeing estimating, field operations, and team performance. Ownership will be your partner in this transition, providing clear milestones and support throughout.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Estimating & Sales Conduct in-home and commercial estimates, delivering accurate, professional quotes Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline; follow up with leads consistently Develop pricing fluency across the full business service menu Work toward and eventually own the estimating function end-to-end Field Operations Work hands-on in the field during ramp-up — cleaning, sealing, regrouting, and caulking alongside technicians Ensure every job is completed to quality standards and customer expectations Manage job scheduling, routing, and material logistics for maximum efficiency Serve as the escalation point for job-site issues or customer concerns People & Team Development Recruit, onboard, and train technicians as the business grows Set clear performance expectations and provide consistent coaching and feedback Foster a culture of pride, accountability, and excellent customer service Manage technician schedules, time-off, and day-to-day workforce needs Business Operations Track key performance metrics — job volume, revenue, margins, customer satisfaction Maintain equipment, vehicles, and supply inventory Coordinate with ownership on growth initiatives, marketing efforts, and hiring plans Ensure compliance with Grout Doctor franchise standards and local business requirementsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required 3+ years of experience in a field service, trade, home services, or similar operations environment Strong customer-facing skills — you represent the brand on every estimate and job Proven ability to lead and motivate a small team Comfort working in a physical, hands-on role, especially early in the role Organized self-starter who can manage multiple jobs and priorities simultaneously Valid driver's license and clean driving record Highly Preferred Experience in tile, flooring, restoration, cleaning, or a related trade Prior estimating or sales experience in a home services or construction context Franchise or multi-location operations experience Familiarity with field service management software (e.g., Jobber, ServiceTitan, or similar)WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
In your first 90 days, you will have completed franchise and technical training, developed a strong understanding of our pricing and service model, and established rapport with the existing technician team. Within 6 months, you will own the estimating function and manage day-to-day field scheduling. Within 12-18 months, you will be operating as the full GM — hiring and developing your team, hitting revenue targets, and driving toward the next phase of franchise growth alongside ownership.Pay:
