Job Description

SCOPE:
Reporting to the VP of Asset Management, the Acquisition Manager will be responsible for managing all phases of the acquisition process from initial review through post-closing performance. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years' proven experience in a dynamic acquisition's role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Initial Phases Lead the underwriting process for potential acquisitions Ensure accuracy, consistency, and high-quality of data and information Summarize and make recommendations to senior leadership and/or IC Assist with broker discussions, negotiations, LOIs and PSAs Due Diligence Lead the inspection and evaluation process Coordinate with sellers, third parties, and internal resources Validate underwriting assumptions, physical condition, etc. Analyze historical and comparable performance and identify value-add opportunities Identify and seek to mitigate any risks, e.g., tax exposure, deferred maintenance Prepare formal and informal deal updates for senior leadership and/or IC Support execution of financing, closing, handover to ops, and post-closing reviews Prospecting Lead outreach to and manage relationships with potential sellers Update databases of target properties, contact info, etc. Complete market analytics, including travel to see sites and meet potential sellers Other Help refine models, checklists, and other tools used in all processes Foster collaborative interdepartmental relationships Ensure business plans are well-documented and analyze post-closing performance Train, manage, and mentor analyst/associate roles Other ad hoc
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, economics, or similar field Minimum 5-7 years of experience, majority in real estate and/or acquisitions Highly proficient in achieving results and independently assessing opportunities. Demonstrated ability to lead others, meet deadlines, synthesize takeaways. Highest level of personal and professional integrity Excellent written communication skills

COMPENSATION
$110,000. - $140,000.00/Yr (Based on experience)
