Overview We are seeking an Executive Director to lead our organization with passion, strategic insight, and a commitment to excellence. We are an emergency shelter for youth ages 10-18 for whom foster or residential placements are not currently available. This role offers an opportunity to shape the future of our programs, foster meaningful relationships within the community, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services. The Executive Director will serve as the primary leader responsible for guiding organizational growth, managing staff, overseeing program development, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards set forth by DCS, Indiana Code, Indiana Department of Health and the State Fire Marshal. Responsibilities Provide leadership to advance organizational mission and goals. Oversee program development, ensuring services meet community needs and adhere to best practices in social work and behavioral health. Manage and supervise staff which includes administrative and direct care employees, ensuring effective team management and supervision. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, coaching, terminations and other program and staff management issues. Responsible to the governing board and will meet regularly with the President and/or designee to provide information as requested. Cultivate and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, clients, and funding agencies to promote collaboration.. Oversee administrative functions including budgeting, financial management, compliance, and reporting to ensure organizational sustainability. Lead efforts in program evaluation and continuous improvement to enhance service quality and client outcomes. Ensure organizational adherence to all legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements related to social services and disability programs. Maintain clear communication channels with staff, clients, the Board President, and community partners to promote transparency and engagement. Be on-call 24/7 for emergencies, staffing issues and other Director-needed decisions that may arise. Requirements Per Indiana Code, Licensed Administrators must be 25 years of age of older. Master's Degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Counseling or a related human service field of study. Ideally should also have either four years of supervisory and administrative experience in a child welfare agency or a setting that serves children, OR, one year of experience in a supervisory capacity and a current license issued by the behavioral health and human services licensing board as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LMFT, LMHC, a social worker with a Master's Degree, or related field as determined by and approved by the Department of Child Services Licensing Division.
