Our Indianapolis operation, one of the largest independent Precision Door Service franchises in the country, is bringing 20+ years of proven growth, award-winning service, and established systems to our newly acquired Evansville location. Position Overview We are seeking a strong, hands-on General Manager to oversee and support the day-to-day operations of our location. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leadership role in a growing market backed by the experience, resources, and structure of an established team. This position will play a critical role in maintaining an efficient, well-organized operation while ensuring our technicians, installers, and warehouse are properly supported. It's a fantastic role for an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to grow with the organization The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing warehouse and inventory operations, technician inventory, scheduling and dispatch, fleet management, and continuous improvement of operational processes. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Warehouse & Inventory Management Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, organization, and distribution of products and materials. Maintain accurate inventory records using company software. Place orders for all parts and materials based on operational needs and inventory levels. Monitor daily inventory transactions and adjustments. Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory and stock shortages. Perform and oversee cycle counts and physical inventories. Monitor product quality during receiving and storage. Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to reduce inventory loss and improve accountability. Analyze inventory trends, product movement, and demand forecasts to optimize stock levels. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as needed to support warehouse operations. Ensure employees operating material-handling equipment follow all applicable safety procedures. Technician Inventory & Field Support Monitor technician inventory levels and replenish vehicle stock as needed. Coordinate off-site restocking of technician inventory to ensure technicians have the parts and materials necessary to complete scheduled jobs. Maintain accurate records of technician inventory and replenishment activity. Technician Scheduling & Dispatch Monitor technician availability, schedules, and workload to maximize productivity, while keeping customers updated with any schedule changes. Coordinate schedule changes, call-outs, and other operational needs throughout the day. Fleet & Vehicle Management Coordinate and oversee preventative maintenance schedules for all company vehicles. Monitor vehicle condition and identify repair and maintenance needs. Coordinate with service providers and vendors to minimize vehicle downtime. Establish accountability for employees regarding the care, cleanliness, and proper use of company vehicles. Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, inventory accuracy, productivity, and overall operational efficiency.
