Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and proactive 1st shift Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our business, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. The Assistant Manager will assist in managing staff, overseeing inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and performance. Duties Assist the Manager in daily operations and staff management. Provide leadership and guidance to employees, fostering a positive work environment. Conduct employee orientation and training programs to ensure all staff are well-prepared for their roles. Oversee cash register operations, including handling transactions and ensuring accurate pricing. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and conducting regular stock checks. Implement effective time management strategies to optimize workflow and productivity. Participate in interviewing potential candidates to build a strong team. Maintain high standards of phone etiquette when interacting with customers and vendors. Assist in budgeting processes to help maintain financial health of the business. Rotate weekends with the Manager Qualifications Proven experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Excellent leadership qualities with a focus on employee development. Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
