Job Description

The Parish Business Manager is a senior staff member in support of the Pastor's responsibilities to St Patrick Catholic Church, St Margaret Mary Catholic Church, and St Patrick School. (hereafter, Parish) The Business Manager, with the Pastor, is the principle steward of administrative, financial, physical, and human resources. The Business Manager is responsible for the business, banking and daily operations of the parishes and school.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Consults with and advises the Pastor on business and administrative matters affecting the Parish. 2. Assist the Archdiocese in preparing and distributing financial statements that are understandable, relevant, reliable and timely. 3. Assist with the management and safe keeping of parish/school records. 4. Assist with the oversight of administration of all Parish human resource needs, and ensures compliance with Archdiocesan human resource policies, specifically including employee benefits, employee grievances, and payroll. 5. Assist with the management of the safekeeping of all Parish financial assets in accordance with Archdiocesan Internal Controls. 6. Assist with management of the annual budget process for the Parish. 7. Assist with the processing of payroll for all parish and school staff. 8. Assist with the management of compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements including sales tax, incorporation status and non-profit status. 9. Seek and apply for grants that may be necessary to maintain or improve the daily operations of the Parish, School, and any ministry therein. 10. Supervise all arrangements and contracts with outside contractors. 11. Oversees onboarding procedures and manages documents for all new-hire employees. 12. Communicates benefit packages to employees and assists with enrollment process. 13. Acts as liaison between all employees and Archdiocesan HR Department. 14. Establish and maintain staff hiring and termination policies in accordance with Archdiocese policies and practices. 15. Actively collaborates with the Pastor, School Principal, Parish Finance Committees, Parish Councils, School Commission and other ministry leaders involved with the regular review of Parish and School financial/operational performance. 16.
