Responsibilities Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service. Support hiring, training, and developing staff to ensure a motivated and knowledgeable team. Manage employee scheduling, shift assignments, and payroll processing to optimize store coverage. Supervise retail sales activities, including merchandising, pricing strategies, and promotional displays. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing to ensure stock availability while minimizing waste. Implement operational policies related to cash handling, POS systems, bookkeeping, and sales reporting. Experience Prior experience as an Assistant Manager or in a supervisory role within the retail industry is essential. Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and team management. Proven ability to manage retail math tasks such as budgeting, pricing, and sales analysis. Experience with POS systems, inventory management software, and cash handling procedures. Strong communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer interactions. Background in grocery or retail store management with familiarity in merchandising, stocking, and operational management is preferred. Excellent organizational skills combined with leadership qualities to motivate teams and streamline store operations.
