Job Description

Love the outdoors? Passionate about community, youth, and riverfront recreation? Join the Pioneer Valley Riverfront Club as our next Executive Director! We're looking for an energetic, hands-on leader to oversee daily operations, lead community programs, manage our boathouse and staff, and help expand access to rowing, dragon boating, and other river-based activities. You'll work year-round closely with our Board of Directors, community partners, coaches, and volunteers to grow programs that inspire people of all ages while promoting recreation, conservation, and inclusion. We're looking for someone who:
  • Is an experienced non-profit leader with strong organizational and people-management skills
  • Can manage budgets, grants, and day-to-day operations
  • Enjoys building partnerships and engaging the community
  • Is flexible, hands-on, and excited to help a mission-driven nonprofit grow
  • Has a collaborative leadership style and a passion for building inclusive, accessible programming
  • Has experience with rowing, dragon boating, or other river-based sports (a plus)
  • Has demonstrated success in fundraising and donor development (a plus) This is a dynamic position that blends leadership, development, administration, event planning, facility management, and water activities.
Early morning, evening and weekend availability is required for meetings, events, and volunteer interaction all year long. Compensation is commensurate with experience, and the position is flexible for full
  • or part-time employment.
At least 75% of the job duties must be performed on-site at the Pioneer Valley Riverfront Club boathouse in Springfield, MA. If you're ready to make a lasting impact on our community while helping people discover the river and riverfront all year long, we'd love to hear from you!
Pay:
$55,000.00
