About This Opportunity We're seeking dynamic General Managers to oversee the daily operations, team leadership, and growth at a variety of our Activate Body Personal Training locations . In this role, you'll set the tone for your facility by fostering a positive, inclusive culture, managing a dedicated team of trainers, and ensuring we deliver on our promise of exceptional member experiences. This is a full-time, in-person role requiring 40+ hours per week, including occasional nights and weekends. We are a rapidly growing company and are currently hiring for pre-established and brand new Activate Body locations in the Baltimore and surrounding areas. Essential Roles & Responsibilities As the General Manager, you will ensure that your gym runs efficiently, fostering growth and providing a safe, welcoming environment for Activate Body members. This role is broad, adaptive, and requires strong interpersonal skills. In this role you will work as a trainer ("on the floor") for approximately 20 hours per week, and spend the other 20-25 hours on management and growth duties. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the business including, but not limited to: Lead & Inspire Embody and promote Activate Body's core values: Enthusiasm, Drive, Empathy, and Professionalism. Create a culture of fun, support, and professionalism among staff and members. Inspire and motivate your team to perform at their best through mentorship and accountability. Coach Lead one-on-one and small-group training sessions tailored to each member's fitness levels and goals. Coach members on proper techniques to prevent injuries and maximize results. Provide ongoing encouragement, track progress, and celebrate member milestones. Manage Operations Oversee daily gym operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes. Manage team schedules, process payroll, and oversee time-off requests. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members and staff. Hire and manage facility services (cleaning, repairs, maintenance, supplies). Monitor and meet budget targets for revenue and expenses. Grow the Business Ensure Activate Body continues to thrive year after year. Meet membership growth goals through proactive sales and retention strategies. Connect with members and the local community to foster engagement and feedback. Support Your Team Invest in your staff by providing regular feedback, training, and growth opportunities. Conduct annual performance reviews and facilitate continuing education. Ensure Activate Body is an exceptional place to work by understanding and addressing the needs of your team. What You Bring 3-5 years of management experience, ideally in the fitness or hospitality industry. Proven leadership skills, with experience coaching, motivating, and holding teams accountable. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Detail-oriented, conscientious, and dependable. Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms) and CRM platforms (e.g., Mindbody Online). Sales experience is a plus but not required.

$64,000 base salary with up to and additional $16,000 in bonus potential.
