Job Description
The Opportunity Mid-Atlantic Restaurant Partners is the working name of a pre-launch, multi-unit restaurant venture being formed by an experienced business executive and capital partner. We are seeking an experienced restaurant operator to help launch and build a three-location restaurant company under an established national franchise brand. The first restaurant is expected to be developed in Clarksville, Maryland followed by additional locations in available markets extending toward Montgomery County. The development plan calls for three restaurants over approximately three years. This is not a conventional district manager role. The selected candidate will initially lead the opening and operation of the first restaurant, then transition into a multi-unit operating leadership role as additional locations open. Candidate Profile The strongest candidate is currently working in one of the following roles: District manager Area manager Multi-unit manager Director of operations High-performing general manager with clear multi-unit potential Candidates should have substantial prior experience directly managing an individual restaurant, including responsibility for: Recruiting and retaining hourly employees and managers Labor scheduling and productivity Food and labor cost control Inventory and waste management Customer experience and brand standards New-store openings Developing assistant managers and general managers Managing store-level financial performance Experience with a major quick-service or fast-casual restaurant brand is strongly preferred. Role Progression Pre-opening period The selected candidate may remain in their current employment during the early planning, financing, real estate, and development process. Participation during this stage is expected to be limited and arranged around the candidate's existing responsibilities. Activities may include reviewing operating plans, assisting with staffing strategy, participating in selected franchise discussions, and helping prepare for recruiting and training. First restaurant The candidate will transition to full-time employment before opening, complete required franchise training, and serve as the on-site operating leader for the first location.
