Responsibilities Lead all dealership operations, including Sales, Service, Parts, Finance, and Administration. Drive profitability by overseeing daily operations, revenue growth, expense management, and departmental performance. Maintain full accountability for the dealership's financial performance, including P&L management and achievement of business objectives. Recruit, hire, mentor, and develop department managers and leadership teams. Establish annual business plans, budgets, sales forecasts, and operational goals that support long-term growth. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Review financial statements and operational reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Partner with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and budget management. Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, company policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturer representatives, lenders, and other business partners. Conduct regular leadership meetings to review departmental performance and align business strategies. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, employee engagement, and exceptional customer service. Support department leaders in resolving escalated customer concerns and delivering an outstanding ownership experience. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of General Manager experience within an automotive dealership. Proven success leading a high-volume dealership with full P&L responsibility. Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills. Demonstrated ability to improve profitability, operational performance, and customer satisfaction. Comprehensive knowledge of dealership operations, including Sales, Fixed Operations, Parts, Finance, and Administration. Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement analysis. Working knowledge of manufacturer requirements and automotive compliance regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with dealership management systems such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Dealertrack is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dealership software platforms. Results-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment. Valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Compensation:
The range in yearly compensation reasonably expected for this position is $300,000 - $500,000. Compensation may vary based on several factors, including dealership performance and market conditions.
