Job Overview We are looking for a driven, people-first leader to step into our Assistant General Manager (AGM) role- someone who knows how to build a strong team, keep things moving and deliver exceptional customer service. The best part? You don't need cannabis industry experience to apply. If you've led a team for more than 1 year, know how to coach staff and hold people accountable, while keeping morale high, we want to talk to you. We will train you on the cannabis side- leadership is the hard part, and thats what you already bring! As AGM, you'll be the right hand to our General Manager, helping run the day-to-day so the store operates smoothly, compliantly, and with a great vibe on the floor. You'll coach staff, solve problems in real time, and help drive both the numbers and the culture. This is a hands-on leadership role -you're in the mix, not just managing from the office. Responsibilities Lead and support daily dispensary operations, from opening to close Provide real-time coaching, training and performance feedback to staff Ensure full compliance with state cannabis regulations and company SOPs Help drive sales performance and an excellent customer experience Assist with customer service escalations, issue resolution, and conflict management Monitor team performance, professionalism and adhere to expectations Maintain clear communication between staff and leadership Support inventory accuracy, operational integrity, and accountability standards Must be able to complete and document employee coaching conversations, records of discussion, corrective actions, performance recognition, and other employee documentation as directed by management Assist with training and development of new and existing team members Demonstrate the ability to make effective day-to-day operations decisions within established guidelines and escalate concerns appropriately when necessary Serve as the acting GM when assigned, ensuring operational continuity and adherence to company expectations Support additional operational initiatives and projects assigned by the GM and/or ownership Minimum Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older, in accordance with Maryland State Law. Proven leadership experience of a minimum of 1 year Comfortable holding others accountable and being held accountable yourself Experience working a cannabis dispensary is preferred but not required High level of attention to detail and organizational skills Strong commitment to labeling accuracy and regulatory compliance Ability to work independently and multi-task Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays Customer Service and Point of Sale Experience Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Maryland cannabis regulations and compliance Knowledge of cannabis brands and products in Maryland Physical and Schedule Requirements Full-Time schedule ~45 hours per week Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods Ability to bend, squat, kneel and perform repetitive movements Compensation and Benefits Annual Salary 62k-70k Employee discount on purchases Competitive Bonus Structure Paid Time Off Equal Opportunity Employer Kent Reserve is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
