Join our resort team as an Assistant General Manager (AGM) and help lead a dynamic, fast-paced environment where pets, clients, and employees all receive exceptional service. Position Summary The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the resort and ensuring excellence in guest experience, animal care, and team performance. This leader sets the tone on the floor—supporting lodging, front desk, and grooming teams with a hands-on approach while partnering closely with the General Manager to uphold safety, quality, and operational standards. We're looking for an energetic, solutions-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys coaching teams, elevating service standards, and contributing to a positive, professional workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Support and oversee daily operations across all departments to ensure smooth, consistent service Supervise, coach, and hold team members accountable to company standards and procedures Respond to guest concerns with empathy, urgency, and professionalism Ensure accurate documentation of pet care, feeding, medications, and health observations Reinforce safety, sanitation, and proper animal handling protocols Assist with inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance in collaboration with supervisors Participate in training, scheduling, team meetings, and performance management Support the General Manager with P&L oversight, including monitoring labor, budgets, and operating expenses Provide hands-on assistance during peak times or staffing shortages Support goal tracking, operational improvements, and clear cross-department communication Perform additional duties as assigned by management or company leadership Qualifications 2+ years of experience in pet care, hospitality, or operations leadership Proven ability to lead teams, enforce standards, and drive results Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Knowledge of pet health, behavior, and animal care best practices Calm, solution-oriented approach to conflict resolution and multitasking Proficiency with scheduling systems, point-of-sale platforms, and communication tools Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible scheduling Why Work With Us?
