Banking Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a $650MM Michigan bank in a search for a SVP, Head of Wealth Management & Trust. This is a unique leadership opportunity for an experienced wealth management, investment advisory, trust, or broker-dealer professional who is interested in leading and growing an established department while helping shape its future direction. The organization has a longstanding trust and wealth management presence, a loyal client base, and an experienced team already in place. The next leader will focus on strategic direction, talent development, business growth, and enhancing the overall client experience. This role is ideal for a leader who brings strong investment and relationship management experience and enjoys mentoring professionals, developing business strategies, and building long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities:
Lead the overall strategy, growth, and performance of the Wealth Management & Trust division. Provide leadership, coaching, and development for a team of wealth and trust professionals. Support business development efforts and identify opportunities to expand assets under management and advisory relationships. Partner with executive leadership to enhance wealth management offerings and long-term strategic initiatives. Maintain and deepen relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and retirement plan clients. Provide guidance on investment management, fiduciary services, trust administration, and retirement planning solutions. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and fiduciary responsibilities. Assist with succession planning and talent development within the department.
Qualifications:
Experience leading or managing wealth management, trust, investment advisory, private banking, or broker-dealer teams. Strong understanding of investment management and client relationship development. Experience working with affluent and high-net-worth clients. Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop professionals. Trust administration experience is beneficial, though the investment and wealth management background is considered most critical. Strong communication, relationship-building, and business development skills. Bachelor's degree required; advanced industry designations are a plus. Job # 2279 Share
