Full-Time, Exempt Position Overview Ambika Hospitality is seeking a motivated, results-driven, and guest-focused Assistant General Manager (AGM) for the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Branson, Missouri . The AGM will support the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining brand standards, maximizing profitability, and leading team members to achieve operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, operational knowledge, and a passion for hospitality. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Assist the General Manager in overseeing all hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Breakfast Operations, and Guest Services. Ensure compliance with all Holiday Inn Express brand standards and company policies. Monitor daily hotel performance, occupancy, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Assist in implementing operational strategies to improve service quality and profitability. Team Leadership & Employee Development Supervise, coach, and support department leaders and hotel associates. Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management. Foster a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and guest satisfaction. Address employee concerns and assist in resolving workplace issues professionally. Guest Experience Ensure guests receive exceptional service throughout their stay. Handle guest complaints, service recovery situations, and special requests promptly and professionally. Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and satisfaction scores to identify improvement opportunities. Maintain a visible presence in guest-facing areas. Financial Management Assist with budget preparation and financial planning. Monitor labor costs, operating expenses, and departmental performance. Review daily revenue reports and identify opportunities to increase profitability. Support efforts to maximize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain hotel safety, security, and cleanliness standards. Conduct regular property inspections and follow up on corrective actions. Assist with risk management and loss prevention initiatives. Sales & Revenue Support Collaborate with the sales team to drive occupancy and revenue growth. Support local marketing initiatives, promotions, and community engagement activities. Monitor market trends and competitor activity. Emergency & Crisis Management Respond appropriately to emergencies, guest incidents, and operational disruptions. Assist in implementing emergency procedures and safety protocols. Leadership & Collaboration Serve as Manager-on-Duty as assigned. Support the General Manager in achieving hotel goals and performance targets. Maintain strong communication with all departments to ensure seamless operations. Qualifications Required Minimum 3-5 years of hotel operations experience. At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality. Strong understanding of hotel operations, guest service, and team leadership. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience with IHG-branded hotels. Knowledge of budgeting, revenue management, and financial reporting.
