Job Description

Fritz's Adventure is now hiring a General Manager for our location in Branson, Missouri. Fritz's is an experiential adventure park that brings people together through discovery, challenge and play. We offer two million cubic feet of attractions including zip lines, mazes, tunnels, ropes course, playgrounds and more. The General Manager (GM) is the senior on-site leader responsible for the overall performance, culture, and success of the adventure park. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across all departments— Operations, Revenue, Facilities, Marketing, Group Sales, Safety & Compliance, Human Resources, and Finance —ensuring an exceptional, safe, and memorable experience for every guest, all while maintaining company profitability. The GM fosters a high-performance culture, develops leaders, and ensures the park operates efficiently while meeting or exceeding financial, safety, and guest satisfaction goals. This individual is accountable for the park's long-term success and daily execution. ________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership/ Planning Collaborate to develop and execute the park's overall business plan and strategic initiatives in partnership with ownership. Work in concert with other directors to set clear goals, KPIs, and expectations for all departments (Operations, Revenue, Facilities, HR, Marketing, etc.). Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, cost savings, and guest experience improvements. Lead the park's annual budgeting and forecasting process. Operations Provide direct oversight of daily operations through the leadership team. Ensure standard operating procedures are followed consistently across all departments. Maintain a proactive MOD (Manager on Duty) program and support major operational decisions. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and standards throughout the park. Support the Director of Safety & Compliance in executing emergency plans, inspections, and audits. Continuously evaluate guest feedback to improve products, services, and processes. Collaborate closely with Guest Relations and full time leaders to resolve escalated guest issues. Ensure cleanliness, ambiance, and presentation standards meet or exceed expectations. Finance P&L responsibility - ensuring revenue goals, labor targets, and expense controls are achieved. Review and approve purchases, vendor agreements. Analyze financial reports weekly and monthly to identify trends and drive improvement. Ensure strong inventory, cash handling, and financial controls in partnership with Finance. Team Development Lead, coach, and mentor the park's leadership team. Build a positive, inclusive, and high-energy workplace culture aligned with company values. Ensure clear communication channels exist across all levels of the organization. Oversee hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning for leadership roles. Strategic Revenue Management Support the Marketing Manager in executing local marketing strategies that drive awareness and attendance. Partner with the Group Sales Managers to maximize group bookings and strengthen community relationships. Serve as the park's key ambassador at community events, PR opportunities, and tourism partnerships. Facilities Management Ensure the park's facilities, attractions, and equipment are well-maintained, clean, and safe at all times. Support the Facilities & Maintenance team in executing preventive maintenance plans and capital projects. Approve or escalate major repair decisions and vendor contracts ______________________________________
Qualifications:
Minimum 5-7 years of senior operations leadership in attractions, hospitality, adventure parks, entertainment venues, or related industries. Proven experience managing multi-department teams in a high-volume, guest-centric environment. Strong knowledge of safety procedures, amusement or adventure operations, and guest service standards. Demonstrated financial acumen, including budgeting, labor management, and P&L responsibility. Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-development skills. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with varied weather conditions. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Recreation Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Certifications in safety, emergency management, or amusement operations are a plus. ________________________________________
Schedule & Environment:
Full-time salary position; nights, weekends, holidays and peak season availability are required. Indoor and outdoor work environment with variable weather and physical activity. ________________________________________
