Assistant General Manager

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support the daily operations of our Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Corinth, MS. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who is passionate about guest service, team leadership, and operational excellence. The AGM will work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth hotel operations while also contributing to sales growth and market presence. This position will begin as an hourly role, with the opportunity to transition into a salaried position based on performance and business needs. Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance Ensure exceptional guest service and handle guest concerns or escalations professionally Supervise, train, and motivate team members to meet brand and service standards Help manage scheduling, labor costs, and operational efficiency Maintain compliance with brand standards, policies, and procedures Support financial performance, including revenue management and cost control Assist with inventory, ordering, and vendor coordination Step in as acting manager in the absence of the General Manager Support and contribute to sales leadership , including local outreach, account management, and occupancy growth strategies. Previous hotel experience required (front desk supervisor, AGM, or similar role preferred) Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of hotel operations, systems, and guest service standards Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays Sales or business development experience is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel management systems High school diploma required; college degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred This position will start as an hourly role Based on performance and operational needs, the role will transition into a salaried position Opportunity for career advancement within the company We value energetic professionals eager to grow their careers while making a difference every day.
