We are currently seeking a Construction Runner / Project Manager Trainee to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with construction knowledge who is looking to build a long-term career in residential remodeling and project management. Whether you come from construction, renovation, or carpentry, or you're a recent trade school graduate, this role offers hands-on exposure to every stage of the renovation process, with a clear path for growth. Only candidates currently located in the Raleigh-Durham area will be considered. About the Role As a Construction Runner / Project Manager Trainee, you will play a key role in supporting our Project Managers and field teams. You'll assist with material pickups and deliveries, job site logistics, vendor coordination, and project support activities that help keep projects organized and on schedule. This role offers the opportunity to learn the renovation process from start to finish while working alongside experienced construction professionals. Key Responsibilities Project Support & Logistics Pick up and deliver construction materials, supplies, and equipment to job sites Coordinate material pickups, returns, and deliveries with vendors and suppliers Support Project Managers with daily job site logistics and scheduling needs Maintain organized, clean, safe, and efficient job sites, including removing trash and debris as needed to support a safe and professional work environment Track materials and supplies to help keep projects on schedule Communicate project updates and field observations to Project Managers and Green Hill team Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure job sites are ready for scheduled work Represent Green Hill Contracting professionally with clients, vendors, and trade partners Maintain company vehicles in a clean and professional condition and ensure scheduled maintenance is completed on time Maintain accurate, timely documentation in company project management software Qualifications 1+ year of experience in construction, renovation, carpentry, or a related field preferred Trade school students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply Basic understanding of residential construction and renovation processes Strong organizational and communication skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Requirements High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and successful drug screening Ability to lift and transport construction materials as needed What We Provide Company vehicle provided for work-related travel Mentorship from experienced Project Managers and construction professionals Hands-on experience with upscale residential remodeling projects Opportunity for career advancement into Project Management Monday-Friday schedule Supportive team environment focused on growth and development Compensation $15.00-$20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience Why Join Green Hill Contracting?
