The Dir Foundation, UNC Wayne is responsible for the management and development of fundraising activities of the foundation. This position serves as the program director and represents the foundation and the hospital in these activities.Responsibilities :
Works with Board and Hospital leadership team to design/coordinate appropriate fundraising activities/events, annual campaigns, planned giving, memorial contributions, etc. Identifies key community contacts, existing and new donor prospects, and solicits gifting to the foundation. Serves as primary point of contact for the Wayne Memorial Hospital Foundation and Wayne Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. Organizes and assists coordination of Board and committee meetings. Maintains donor mailing lists and provides timely communications. Represents and makes presentations as appropriate/needed/requested at various civic and community events. Designs and presents media campaigns to advertise the foundation's missions, goals, and accomplishments. Presents a positive public image and generates support in the community for the hospital and the foundation. Maintains professional affiliations and advances professional growth and development to keep abreast in fundraising trends/technology.Other Information Other information:
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, public relations, marketing/communications, or a related field is required.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- None required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
- Requires seven (7) years of related work experience, including at least three (3) years of management experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Detail oriented and accurate.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
