This role serves as the primary leader of the studio and is accountable for achieving business objectives while fostering a positive and inclusive culture for members and employees. The General Manager leads and develops studio staff, drives revenue growth across all business lines, and ensures the studio consistently delivers an exceptional Club Pilates experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Business Performance & Sales Leadership Drive membership sales, retention, private training, retail, and teacher training revenue Develop and execute strategies to achieve studio sales and operational goals Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement action plans to improve performance Lead sales efforts through prospect outreach, lead conversion, community networking, and referral generation Ensure consistent execution of the sales process and membership experience Manage accounts receivable, collections, and membership-related concerns Team Leadership & Development Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop studio employees Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and high performance Conduct regular performance conversations and provide ongoing feedback Create and manage employee schedules to support business needs Partner with Regional Managers and Human Resources on employee relations, performance management, and staffing initiatives Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with company values Member Experience & Community Engagement Ensure exceptional service and hospitality for all members, guests, and prospects Resolve member concerns professionally and effectively Build relationships within the local community to increase brand awareness and studio growth Participate in networking events, partnerships, and grassroots marketing initiatives Support social media and local marketing efforts to drive engagement and lead generation Operations & Compliance Ensure the studio operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and procedures Maintain studio cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation standards Oversee inventory management, retail merchandising, and vendor relationships Maintain accurate business records, reports, and documentation Utilize ClubReady and other systems to monitor studio performance and operations Protect confidential company and employee information Ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal employment and operational requirements Additional Responsibilities Serve as the leader and ambassador of the Club Pilates brand within the studio and community Support special projects, studio initiatives, and company growth efforts Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Minimum of 2 years of fitness, retail, hospitality, or service-based sales experience Minimum of 1 year of management, leadership, or supervisory experience Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals Strong customer service and relationship-building skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to analyze business metrics and make data-driven decisions Strong organizational and time-management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and business software systems Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and special events as needed Preferred Associate's degree or higher Experience in fitness, wellness, boutique fitness, or membership-based businesses Experience with ClubReady or similar CRM/POS systems Pilates experience or passion for health and wellness Physical & Schedule Requirements Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach, bend, and use standard office equipment Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds Ability to work in a fitness studio environment Regular in-person presence required; expected to work onsite five days per week
