Smart Start of Yadkin County Executive Director Job Posting Position Overview The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of Smart Start of Yadkin County and is responsible for the overall management of the organization's finances, operations, and personnel. This role provides the leadership needed to advance Smart Start's mission of strengthening early childhood care and education in Yadkin County through strategic oversight, community engagement, and organizational stewardship. Essential Responsibilities Leadership and Staff/Board Development
  • Monitor progress while coaching, encouraging, and supporting employees in their professional growth.
  • Support board development and active involvement in the organization's strategic direction. Community Partnerships
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to strengthen partnerships that support children and families.
  • Actively network, build, and sustain relationships that create opportunities for funding, programs, and volunteer engagement.
  • Represent the organization visibly and professionally throughout the community. Fund Development
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand revenue-generating and fundraising activities. Financial Administration
  • Supervise the annual budget to ensure fiscal accountability.
  • Maintain compliance with all funder policies, procedures, and financial requirements.
Minimum Qualification Requirements Education Candidates must possess at least a bachelor's degree, with a graduate degree preferred, in early childhood education; business administration or related field; public administration; education; or a human services-related discipline. Experience Candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience in management and financial administration, including at least two years of supervisory experience.
