Negotiable based on level of experienceJoin MVSB as a VP Commercial Loan Officer MVSB is seeking an experienced VP Commercial Loan Officer to strengthen and expand commercial banking relationships in North Conway, New Hampshire. This is a meaningful opportunity for a relationship-driven lending professional who enjoys serving as a trusted financial partner to local businesses, identifying strategic opportunities, and supporting the continued growth of the communities we serve.

What Youll DoIn this role, you will manage and grow a diverse portfolio of commercial loan relationships with business clients and commercial borrowers. You will evaluate creditworthiness, structure lending solutions, and support responsible portfolio growth while maintaining sound credit quality, regulatory compliance, and strong client service.

How Youll Make an ImpactStrengthen commercial lending relationships with new and existing business clientsSupport local business growth through thoughtful lending solutions and responsive serviceManage a commercial loan portfolio with a focus on credit quality, client experience, and production goalsMeet with applicants, gather financial documentation, and evaluate borrower creditworthinessPrepare and present sound loan recommendations in accordance with established lending policiesEnsure approved loans are properly documented, structured, collateralized, and servicedIdentify opportunities to expand broader banking relationships, including deposit and additional banking servicesMonitor portfolio activity, including maturities, past dues, and borrower financial updatesRepresent MVSB through business development, community involvement, and relationship-building effortsCollaborate with internal teams and business lines to support strategic lending opportunitiesWhat Were Looking ForThe ideal candidate will bring strong commercial lending experience, sound credit judgment, and a genuine commitment to building long-term client relationships.

Three to five years of commercial lending, portfolio management, and external business development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong knowledge of commercial lending practices, banking regulations, and credit administrationDemonstrated ability to analyze complex financial information and make sound credit recommendationsProven success building business relationships and meeting loan production goalsExcellent communication, relationship management, and presentation skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a larger teamStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and follow through on commitmentsProficiency with desktop applications, intermediate to advanced spreadsheet skills, and experience with Jack Henry or similar core banking systems preferredWhy Youll Love Working HereIn addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you both personally and professionally.
