Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant General Manager to join our retail management team. This pivotal role involves supporting the overall operations of the store, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Tips are in addition to the hourly rate. This position is designed to lead to further growth opportunities as we are a growing company in New Hampshire. Duties Assist in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees Provide employee orientation, training, and development to foster a knowledgeable and motivated team Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to optimize sales Supervise sales team activities, monitor retail math, and ensure achievement of sales targets Handle customer service issues promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels Coordinate shift schedules, manage payroll processing, and oversee cashiering duties Implement marketing initiatives and promotional displays to boost store visibility and sales Maintain organizational standards through bookkeeping, budgeting, and operational management tasks Skills Proven experience in retail management with supervisory or assistant manager roles Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus Demonstrated recruiting expertise along with interviewing skills to select top talent Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for retail math calculations Leadership qualities with team management experience; capable of supervising diverse staff members Knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, merchandising, pricing strategies, and customer service best practices Skilled in operational management including shift management, cash handling, bookkeeping, and payroll processing Effective organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Experience with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous but not required Strong managerial communication skills combined with training & development abilities Ability to handle inventory control procedures and perform basic bookkeeping tasks efficiently Join us as an Assistant General Manager where your energy fuels our success!
