VP, Infrastructure Fund Accounting About the Opportunity A leading global financial services organization supporting the alternative investment industry is seeking an experienced fund accounting professional to join its growing private markets platform. This position will have a particular focus on infrastructure funds and will combine technical fund accounting, client relationship management, team leadership, and oversight of complex fund structures. The role offers significant exposure to sophisticated alternative investment strategies and the opportunity to work across accounting, investor reporting, tax, operations, and audit functions. Responsibilities Maintain and oversee general ledgers and related sub-ledgers for private market funds. Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, partner capital statements, trial balances, and supporting workpapers. Prepare and review limited partner and general partner allocations. Serve as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders and lead regular meetings. Provide technical accounting and industry guidance, with a particular focus on infrastructure funds. Review partnership agreements, private placement memoranda, and other fund governing documents. Oversee the implementation of new fund structures within accounting systems. Develop implementation plans for new fund launches and transitions. Coordinate with teams across operations, financial reporting, tax, and investor relations. Manage and monitor the external audit process. Participate in service planning, budgeting, and broader relationship management initiatives. Review trading and operational processes supporting private equity and infrastructure funds. Prepare and review ad hoc financial and management reporting as needed. Support process improvements and technology initiatives across the broader platform. Qualifications 8+ years of relevant experience within private equity, real estate, infrastructure, or other private markets fund accounting, gained through an alternative investment manager, financial services organization, fund administrator, or public accounting firm. Strong knowledge of infrastructure funds, including open-ended and/or closed-ended structures. Demonstrated understanding of fund accounting, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting guidelines. Experience preparing and reviewing general ledgers, financial statements, capital activity, and investor allocations. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and other applicable accounting frameworks. Experience managing relationships and interacting with senior-level stakeholders. Prior leadership and supervisory experience, including oversight and development of accounting professionals. Experience with business planning, budgeting, and operational or technology transformation initiatives is preferred. Familiarity with Investran and/or Yardi is a plus. Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. CPA strongly preferred. Why Consider This Opportunity?
