Job Description
The Lower Township Municipal Utilities Authority (Authority) is seeking a full-time, in-person Executive Director. The Authority operates potable water and wastewater systems serving Lower Township, New Jersey, a 32-square-mile community in Cape May County. The Authority has 25 employees and has over 13,000 water & sewer service units. The Authority offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, commensurate with experience. For more information, please refer to the Executive Director Profile on the Authority's website at www.ltmua.org. The successful candidate must be a New Jersey resident. Relocation is not available.
Salary Range:
$110,000.00 to $160,000.00 annually. The Authority has a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid vacation, sick and personal leave; medical, dental and vision insurances; paid holidays; life insurance and participation in the NJ PERS.Job Description Scope:
The Executive Director is the chief executive officer of the Authority and is responsible for the leadership and direct supervision of the Authority's day-to-day operations. This position reports to a five (5) member Board.Education and Experience:
A B.S. degree in business management, engineering, environmental science, public administration, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible managerial and leadership experience in small to medium-sized public utilities, including five years of experience in a senior management capacity with a comparable organization, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Familiarity withEPA & NJDEP
water & wastewater standards. Familiarity with EPA, NJDEP and IBank infrastructure funding programs. Familiarity with budget preparation, development and implementation of five- and ten-year capital improvement planning, labor relations, human resources, and NJ Local Public Contracts Law. Involvement in related professional organizations Possession of a professional engineer license, NJDEP operator licenses, NJ Certified Municipal Finance Officer, or NJ Qualified Purchasing Agent, or another applicable licensure/certification is a plus.
