This is a fast-paced, hands-on role managing a book of small commercial accounts, generally with less than $15,000 in combined premium. The Small Business Account Manager handles the full account cycle—from day-to-day client service and renewals to quoting and new business. We are looking for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, can manage multiple priorities, and has a strong working knowledge of commercial insurance.
Salary Range:
$50,000.00
- $70,000.

Commercial lines insurance experience; 3+ years preferred. Working knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, terminology, and carrier processes. Experience with an agency management system; Applied Epic experience is a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working independently while being part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities What You'll Do Manage an assigned book of small commercial accounts from new business through renewal. Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients and respond to service and coverage needs. Manage renewals, including gathering updated information, reviewing coverage, marketing accounts, quoting, and binding. Quote new and renewal business through carrier portals and comparative rating systems. Process endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, payments, audits, claims reports, and other policy transactions. Review policies and endorsements for accuracy and issue certificates, auto ID cards, evidence of property coverage, and other documents. Identify coverage gaps and opportunities to cross-sell appropriate products. Maintain accurate and timely client and policy documentation in the agency management system.
