Job Description
A well-established metals processor is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead all aspects of a high-value manufacturing and recycling operation. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, commercial execution, and continuous improvement within a technically advanced processing environment. The successful candidate will provide leadership across operations, production, maintenance, safety, quality, commercial activities, and customer service while developing a high-performing team and fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership for plant operations with full responsibility for safety, production, quality, maintenance, and financial performance. Drive operational efficiencies, cost improvements, and productivity initiatives while maintaining exceptional product quality and customer satisfaction. Lead and develop cross-functional teams, promoting employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement. Develop and manage operating budgets, capital projects, and long-term business plans. Ensure compliance with all environmental, OSHA, and regulatory requirements. Monitor key performance indicators and implement process improvements to maximize throughput, recovery, and profitability. Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to optimize manufacturing and processing capabilities. Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and key business partners. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within metals processing, specialty alloys, advanced manufacturing, recycling, or industrial processing. Previous General Manager, Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or Division Manager experience with full P&L responsibility. Strong background in specialty metals, titanium, nickel alloys, aerospace materials, or other high-value metal processing operations preferred. Demonstrated success improving plant performance, operational efficiency, and financial results. Experience leading maintenance, production, engineering, quality, and safety functions. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support customer development and strategic business growth. Proven leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
