Full Job Description Job Summary:
Phoenix House is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and highly trusted Chief of Staff to partner directly with the CEO and senior leadership team. This role serves as a critical extension of the CEO, driving organizational priorities, ensuring alignment across departments, and advancing key strategic initiatives. The Chief of Staff will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution—translating vision into action, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and ensuring the CEO's time and focus are aligned with Phoenix House's highest-impact priorities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Execution Partner with the CEO to define, prioritize, and drive strategic initiatives across the organization Lead cross-functional projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals Monitor progress on key initiatives and organizational priorities, identifying risks and ensuring accountability Prepare strategic briefings, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders Executive Support & Decision Enablement Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the CEO Support decision-making by conducting research, analyzing data, and synthesizing insights Ensure the CEO is well-prepared for meetings, presentations, and key engagements Manage and optimize the CEO's priorities to maximize impact and efficiency Operational Excellence & Organizational Alignment Drive coordination and communication across the Executive Team to ensure alignment and follow-through Facilitate leadership meetings, including agenda setting, documentation, and tracking action items Identify opportunities to improve organizational processes, communication, and execution Support the development and implementation of organizational goals, KPIs, and performance tracking Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Act as a liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders Support the development of executive communications, including speeches, messaging, and presentations Represent the Executive Office in cross-functional initiatives and meetings as needed Special Projects & Initiatives Lead high-priority, confidential, and complex projects on behalf of the CEO Provide support on Board-related materials, reports, and communications Assist in crisis management and organizational change initiatives as needed Collaborate with the Development department on fundraising goals and initiatives.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree (MBA, MPA, or related field) preferred 7-10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or executive-level support Experience working in or closely with executive leadership teams required Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or nonprofit sectors strongly preferred
