Role Overview The Managing Director is a mid-level leadership role responsible for driving the growth, performance, and culture of the firm's advisor teams across the New York City Metropolitan markets. This individual will play a critical role in scaling the business by recruiting top talent, developing advisors, and leading joint-work initiatives that accelerate productivity and revenue growth. The Managing Director will also be accountable for strategic planning, and ensuring consistent achievement of business objectives. This is a highly visible leadership position that blends business development, people leadership, and strategic execution within a fast-growing wealth management organization. The Managing Director will work closely with the Vice President of agency to ensure key initiatives and objectives are met. Key Responsibilities Leadership + Team Development Lead, coach, and develop a team of financial advisors to achieve production and client acquisition goals Build a high-performance culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and professional growth Conduct regular coaching, training sessions, and joint client meetings to accelerate advisor development Recruiting + Talent Acquisition Lead advisor recruiting efforts across NYC Metropolitan area Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of high-quality financial advisor candidates Conduct interviews, evaluate talent, and support onboarding and integration of new advisors Partner with leadership to refine hiring profiles and recruitment strategy Business Growth + Strategy Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and increase wallet share Support advisors in prospecting, networking, and business development efforts Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions when needed Client + Market Engagement Maintain a strong presence in the marketplace and represent the firm at industry and client events Support high-net-worth client relationships through joint case design and planning strategies Ensure delivery of comprehensive financial planning solutions aligned with client needs Qualifications Proven leadership experience in financial services, wealth management, or a related industry Strong background in team management, coaching, and advisor development Demonstrated success in business development and revenue growth Deep understanding of financial planning, insurance, investment, and risk management strategies Strong recruiting and talent development capabilities Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field required (MBA or advanced degree preferred) Active Life & Health Insurance License required FINRA Series 7 & 66 (or Series 63/65) required Track record of success in financial services or wealth management leadership roles Compensation This is a performance-based leadership role with a competitive compensation structure designed to reward both individual leadership impact and team production.
Base Salary:
Competitive and commensurate with experience
Commission:
Based on team production, advisor growth, business development, and personal production results
Performance Bonus:
Additional incentive compensation tied to revenue growth, recruiting success, and strategic milestones
Long-Term Earning Potential:
Significant upside based on firm expansion and leadership impact
Pay:
$100,000.00
