Position Summary The Director of Philanthropy is accountable for designing, developing, and implementing a values-driven, high-performing major and leadership gifts program that includes a planned giving component focusing on the Athletics, Fitness & Wellness (AFW) Capital Campaign. This position will lead and mentor a team to generate impactful philanthropic results. The Director will also be responsible for the continued management and cultivation of relationships with existing major and leadership gift prospects and the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of new individual donors among Le Moyne's alumni, parents, and friends. Principal Duties and Essential Functions Job duties specific to this position: Establish and oversee annual and long-term objectives for the AF&W major and leadership gifts team, executing on these plans to meet financial goals and College priorities. Provide leadership and direct management for athletics major and leadership gift officers, integrating their efforts across campus and directing their activities and strategies with the goal of securing gifts of $50,000 plus in support of the College's strategic priorities. Personally develop, lead, and manage the advancement strategy, including identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of a portfolio between 125-150 prospects. Work with the Vice President, Advancement and Innovation to actively contribute to strategic planning, decision-making, and goal setting for the advancement team to further College strategic priorities. Be a contributor within Advancement and Innovation to identify, recruit, develop, train, supervise, and evaluate major and leadership gift and administrative staff including performance reviews and professional development. Regularly report to the VP Advancement and Innovation on personal fundraising performance and that of the AF&W major and leadership gifts team, including future projections. Assist the President and VP for Advancement and Innovation with portfolio analysis, travel plans and major gift donor outreach. Solicit annual unrestricted gifts as a fundamental practice in major and leadership gift work. Establish performance metrics for the major and leadership gifts team, in collaboration with the College leadership, and foster a culture of accountability. Meet regularly with the direct reports to review and oversee campaign related fundraising performance and to oversee and advise on fundraising strategies. Plan and/or participate in prospect strategy sessions with colleagues and partners. Secure and conduct 5 or more personal face to face visits monthly to qualify, engage, solicit, and steward the College's major donors and prospects. Create regular reports that accurately reflect collective and individual activity and performance and track progress toward meeting fundraising goals. Maintain complete and timely records of contacts with donors, potential donors and volunteers. Works collaboratively towards meeting an annual fundraising goal to be determined with and approved by the College leadership. Interact effectively with internal contacts such as vice president's, deans, directors, faculty, officers and other development staff to consult on College needs. Meet with College senior leadership as needed. Cultivate strong working relationships with administrators, faculty, and staff across the campus. Ensure that the overall advancement division is seen as a collaborative, responsible partner able to professionally address both opportunities and concerns. Travel regionally and nationally to cultivate, solicit and steward leadership donors and volunteers, and help to identify and cultivate prospects who may be capable of making major and leadership gifts, as well as annual gifts, to the College. Partner with the Director of Prospect Research to identify and approve prospects for assignment, oversee the development and effectiveness of fundraisers' portfolios, and support campus-wide adherence to the Prospect Management process. Coordinate with the Director of Prospect Research to utilize innovative analytics to maximize the potential of the College's overall prospect pipeline to ensure the success of all fundraising efforts. Assist with the department's annual budget, monitoring spending and advocating for additional resources as needed. Responsible for special projects and other duties as assigned. Leadership and Planned Giving Develop a long-range strategic asset development plan in tandem with the President, Vice- President of A & I and the A & I leadership team Create and execute fund raising plans that utilize best practices in Major and Planned gift programs to meet fundraising goals.

Pay Range:
