Summary:
Discovers, cultivates, and solicits corporate prospects for financial support of the hospital. In this capacity, the individual is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic fundraising plan for such constituencies including, but not limited to, local corporations and local markets of national and international corporations.
Responsibilities:
Identifies and evaluates funding sources, with special emphasis on corporations who have major gift potential. Develops a "moves management" plan for each prospect. Establishes targets/goals and actively moves prospects along the developmental "pipeline." Work with the corporate contacts to create the fundraising/campaign program and assist in organizing and implementing. Solicits major gifts through campaigns, fundraisers and major gift projects. Develops relationships with corporations to identify executive level individual prospects for personal major gifts. Participates in strategic planning and corporate philanthropy. Initiatives. Participates in Hospital/Development functions. Involvement and representation on hospital wide committees. Other duties as required Other information: Technical Expertise Experience in fundraising Is required. Experience in program management is required. Travel and valid Ohio driver's license is required. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required. Experience in healthcare is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Database management software is required; Raiser's Edge software is preferred. Education and Experience 1.
