Overview Join our dynamic team as an Assistant General Manager and play a pivotal role in driving the success of our retail operations. Responsibilities Assist the General Manager in overseeing all store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service standards. Supervise and motivate retail sales teams, ensuring effective training, employee orientation, and ongoing development. Manage daily store activities such as cash handling, POS system operations, merchandising, stocking, and pricing strategies. Lead shift management efforts by coordinating schedules, supervising cashiering and customer service interactions, and maintaining operational flow. Oversee inventory management tasks including stock replenishment, inventory audits, purchasing decisions, and shrink reduction initiatives. Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing processes to select qualified candidates for various roles. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and overall store management. Foster a welcoming environment by providing excellent customer service and resolving escalated issues promptly. Utilize strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and management on sales goals, promotional activities, and operational improvements. Experience Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry. Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience with a focus on motivating staff and developing talent. Strong background in sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and operational oversight. Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math including pricing strategies. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases better. Experience in grocery or wireless sales environments is a plus but not required; relevant managerial experience is essential. Knowledge of payroll processing, bookkeeping basics, purchasing procedures, and budget management is preferred but can be supported through training.
