Job Description

DEMOCRAT DIRECTOR/DEPUTY DIRECTOR ASHTABULA COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS
Director / Deputy Director -Pursuant to the Directive of the Secretary of State of Ohio and all applicable statues, notice is given that the Ashtabula County Board of Elections is currently accepting resumes for the position of Democrat Director / Deputy Director.
Minimum qualifications include:
Five years experience with the Board of Elections. Candidates must possess a valid State of Ohio Motor Vehicle Drivers License. This is a full-time position and the applicant must be able to work all hours as needed.
Required duties include:
Running all elections held in the county. Processing and reporting election results. Recruiting and training poll workers. Managing voter records. Keeping board meeting records. Tracking money received and spent. Filing and keeping all election records in the board office. Preparing meeting minutes. Auditing campaign finance reports. Calculating election costs for political subdivisions. Managing board property and materials. Handling other duties assigned by the Secretary of State. Following all Secretary of State directives and materials. Managing staff and assigning work. Creating and monitoring annual budgets. The successful applicant is subject to a criminal background check and must successfully complete Secretary of State form 307. Deadline to apply is July 13th, 2026 at 10 am.
