Min Hourly Rate $15.05 (Standard); $14.05 (Non-Urban); $16.30 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.50 (Standard); $21.00 (Non-Urban); $22.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Chief of Staff for the Associated Students of Oregon State University (ASOSU) at Oregon State University (OSU). The ASOSU Chief of Staff serves on the ASOSU President's team to support and assist the ASOSU in the coordination andanization of the Executive Branch and help address student needs at Oregon State University. This includes supporting the ASOSU President and Vice President in the programming of ASOSU Executive Branch staff, working with the ASOSU President to advise and provide oversight on ASOSU Budgets, and helping with meeting agendas and logistics. Given the limited hours and timeline of ASOSU's advocacy, these responsibilities (including those provided below) may be amended or vary depending on ongoing priorities, needs, or emergent issues and/or circumstances. The ASOSU Chief of Staff will work closely with the ASOSU President and Vice President to fulfill the needs of the ASOSU Executive Staff. In this position, students learn and build vital career-readiness skills in the primary areas below: Teamwork, Leadership, and Professionalism. Position Duties Assist in the scheduling, coordination, meetings, and programming needs of the Executive Branch which may arise. This includes, but is not limited to, motor pool reservations, venue research and reservations, training topics, meeting agendas, and staffanization; Provide agendas and meeting minutes to the ASOSU staff meetings, as well as to the Records Clerk; Coordinate with the ASOSU Director of Policy, Director of Diversity & Inclusion, and the Director of Marketing & Public Relations to develop positive interactions and joint projects between different Executive teams; Facilitate and attend any meetings of the Policy Team, Diversity Team, and PR Team of the ASOSU Executive Staff as directed; Assist the ASOSU President in leading regular meetings for the ASOSU Director of Policy, Director of Diversity & Inclusion and Director of Marketing & Public Relations; Facilitate regular all-executive staff meetings and collaborate with the ASOSU President and Vice President in setting agendas; to the ASOSU Senate at least once per term, a summary of the expenditures and finances of the ASOSU, prepared in consultation with the President; Review and monitor all ASOSU Executive Branch budgets to ensure funds are responsibly managed under the guidance of the ASOSU President. Work Schedule Term of Employment:
The anticipated start date begins June 15th, 2026, with employment concluding on June 1, 2027.
Hours:
This position is allotted approximately 24 hours (clocked) per week during the academic year. Some weeks may require additional hours while others require less. Hours must balance out during the pay period and may not exceed 24 hours within a given week per university policy. Additional hours may be available with supervisor approval.
Compensation:
Thepensation for this position is $18.10 an hour.
Training:
Student employees must satisfy all training requirements as assigned by their supervisor. This includes attendance at the ASOSU Training from September 14-18, 2026. Posting Detail Information Posting Number
